Archiving Policy

Jurnal Kesehatan (JUKE) is committed to maintaining the availability and integrity of its published scholarly content through electronic archiving and backup procedures. The journal uses Open Journal Systems (OJS) in a XAMPP server environment to manage its journal publications, database, and electronic files.

ARCHIVE CONTENT

Jurnal Kesehatan (JUKE) maintains its published articles, article metadata, journal issues, and related publication records through its Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. The journal's electronic content is managed by UPPM Poltekkes Kemenkes Ternate.

The journal's archiving process covers the database and electronic files required to maintain the OJS platform and its publication records. These components are included in the journal's backup procedures to support the preservation and recovery of published content.

MAINTENANCE AND RECOVERY

Jurnal Kesehatan (JUKE) uses XAMPP as its server environment for operating the OJS platform. The journal maintains backup copies of three main components:

  1. Database: Contains journal information, article metadata, user records, editorial workflow data, publication details, and other information managed by OJS.

  2. ojsdata: Stores uploaded files associated with journal submissions and publications, including manuscript files, published article files, supplementary materials, and other journal documents, depending on the system configuration.

  3. ojs: Contains the OJS application files, including the program files and related system components required to operate the journal platform.

These three components are backed up to support system recovery in the event of technical problems, data loss, application errors, or server failure.

When restoration is required, the available backup copies of the database, ojsdata, and ojs directories can be used to recover the journal system and its associated publication records. The recovery process depends on the availability and integrity of the backup copies.

RECORD INTEGRITY

Jurnal Kesehatan (JUKE) seeks to maintain the integrity and consistency of its electronic publication records through the backup and recovery of its database, ojsdata, and ojs components.

These backup copies help protect the journal's publication information, article files, metadata, and application environment against potential data loss or technical disruption. During restoration, the journal aims to maintain the consistency of the database and associated files so that published articles and their bibliographic records remain accessible and accurate.

Through these backup and recovery procedures, Jurnal Kesehatan (JUKE) supports the continuity of its electronic publishing operations and the preservation of its scholarly publication records.
